Grief, Loss and Bereavement

Grief s a powerful emotion that can be difficult to deal with.  The feelings are often overwhelming and intense.  Often our grief will touch other places of unmourned losses within us.

There is no one right way to grieve. There are no linear steps to follow.  But we do know something about grief.  It hurts – a lot more than you thought it would.  Grief takes a lot of energy – sometimes up to 80% of your energy.  So you will be tired.  Grief comes and goes, ebbing and flowing – sometimes catching us by surprise by grief bursts.  Ultimately we learn that ‘what we feel, we can heal;. Grief has much to teach us and we come out the other end different that who we were.
