Self-Compassion is needed
whenever I find myself:
disapproving and judgmental
fixating on nutrients or calories
focusing on what’s wrong with my body
eating more than I want or less than I need
binging or purging
believing that this pain will never change
angry at myself for having eating struggles
eating foods I know are not good for me or my energy
feeling guilty or ashamed about my struggle
tight, hard, contracted and reactive.

Take a moment to find your breath.
Notice any sensations in your body.
Soothe yourself with gentle touch.
Feel how each breath in nourishes you
and each exhale soothes you
 Nourishing, soothing.

May I trust my body
