The Centre for Compassion Inspired Health acknowledges that we live, learn, and work on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples – the Snuneymuxw, Stz’uminus and Snaw-Naw-As Nations.
We are honored to have been invited to present Mindful Self-Compassion based workshops to the First Nations Health Directors Association (FNHDA) Conference, FNHDA Board Members, Lil’Wat First Nations and Tsow Tun Le Lum Substance Abuse and Trauma Treatment Centre.
In early 2019, we were privileged to partner with the FNDHA Head to Heart Program supporting First Nations Health Directors in cultivating compassion inspired self-care in the delivery of a webinar on Compassion Inspired Eating along with a deck of Compassion Inspired Eating Cards for each director across the province of B.C.
If you are interested in bringing Mindful Self-Compassion training and/or Self-Compassion Cards to your community, please contact email@example.com.
I loved the opportunity to be here, explore self-compassion in a personal/spiritual way, to practice with others, and to connect with our common humanity. Knowing I am not alone, but instead a part and together with others on this journey of life. It was awesome. Thank you. Yvette Ringham-Cowan, Facilitator, Cultural Safety Programs, Vancouver Island Health Authority
I loved everything about this workshop. I loved the ‘laid back’ facilitation of such deep material. I loved getting the opportunity to practice the different stages/types of self-compassion meditation. I found this healing and therapeutic. If I am healthy, I can help others be healthier by sharing good healing energy. Thank you for sharing this life-changing technique of learning to love myself as I deserve. Nadine Peterson, Lil’Wat Health and Healing
This workshop was very good. I loved the “one breath for me and one breath for you” exercise. It reminds me that I don’t have to fix everything. the workshop was nicely done and had a very safe feeling. I am happy you have a ‘roamer’ facilitator to help keep the room safe and balanced with a loving eye. Shawn, Lil’Wat Nation
