We are living in challenging, changing and unpredictable times.
Taking care of our emotional health is important, especially when we are physically distancing and perhaps experiencing the stress of uncertainty, isolation, angst, fear, economic hardship, relationship struggles and illness.
Kristy Williams (MD) and Victoria Pawlowski (R.C.C, M.Ed.) are offering drop in monthly online gatherings to introduce you to some core Mindful Self-Compassion practices, free of charge. We will share with you a sense of how you could use mindfulness and self-compassion to support yourself and your community during these trying times.
We sincerely hope you can join us.
You will have the option to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
We want you to take care of yourself so if you need to take a break, go off screen, lie down or finish early – then please give yourself what you need. If you do so you are practicing self-compassion. It’s a win:win.
What can you expect?
We start with an introduction to zoom, to who we are and why we are doing this.
We introduce a specific topic around mindfulness and self-compassion practice and
guide you through the practice so you can experience it for yourself.
We move into small breakout groups to discuss our experience of the practice (no it’s not group therapy!) and then we come back to the large group to share (if desired) and discuss the topic and our experience more fully.
We summarize the session and offer a suggestion for taking the practice home.
It takes no more than one hour.
We do offer the opportunity for people to stay an extra 15 minutes if they wish to go back into breakout groups and connect more with others. Many people really love this aspect of connecting with others in this deeper way, so that option will be available to you. This is of course optional.
When: Second Sunday of the month from 2:00 – 3:00 PM PST
