Live Online Mindful Self-Compassion Course for Anxiety with Victoria Pawlowski, R.C.C. and Dr. Kristy Williams, M.D. starting Monday February 13th 2023 from 7 – 8:30 pm PST and running for six consecutive weeks until Monday March 20th, 2023.

Description

The Short Course in Mindful Self-Compassion (SC-MSC) is a 6-week adaptation of the empirically-supported 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program designed to begin the cultivation of the skills of self-compassion. SC-MSC was developed by Kristin Neff, PhD, the pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion and Christopher Germer, PhD, a leader in the integration of mindfulness, compassion, and psychotherapy.

You will learn some of the principles and practices of mindful self-compassion, so you can better relate to and care for yourself, both physically and emotionally. Research has shown that these techniques can help improve our emotional well-being, improve our ability to cope with life’s challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, promote healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and lead to more satisfying personal relationships.

Cultivating self-compassion in this way can fundamentally shift how we relate to ourselves and to our anxiety. Instead of meeting our challenges with self-blame and -criticism, we can bring a kind and mindful attention to our experiences (thoughts, emotions, and sensations) and a sense of love and care to ourselves, right in the midst of difficult situations.

With practice, we can strengthen this inner quality of presence, connectedness, and kindness to improve emotional well-being and build resilience.

Registration process:  B.C. MSP Number and *$50 attendance deposit to info@compassioninspiredhealth.com.  Deposit will be refunded as long as participants attend 5/6 sessions.

Program starts Monday February 13th, 2023 to March 20th, 2023 from 7 – 8:30 pm PST.
