In 2014 I found myself at a week long intensive training in Mindful Self-Compassion on Whidbey Island, Washington and the trajectory of my life changed. The practices resonated deeply and challenged my inner self-critic that had been running the show for too long.
I went on to Batavia, New York to train as a teacher and have been practicing, teaching and integrating Mindful Self-Compassion into my personal and professional life. Eventually in 2019, I was mentored by esteemed MSC/MBSR Teacher Trainer Dawn MacDonald into becoming a Certified MSC Teacher with The Centre for Mindful Self-Compassion.
I offer a deep bow of gratitude to my teachers Chris Germer, PhD, Kristin Neff, Ph.D., Steve Hickman, Michelle Becker, Kristy Arbon, mentor Dawn MacDonald, co-teachers Carol Ranger, Kristy Williams, Zoey Ryan and to the thousands of courageous and open hearted program participants I have had the privilege to teach.
What’s next?
More practice.
Because as Pema Chodren says “we can still be crazy after all these years”.
More teaching. Because I love it.
