This beautiful collage was created by artist Johanne Galipeau and illustrates an important core message in Mindful Self-Compassion Training about how to cultivate happiness with the following practices:

1.  Taking time to savour the little and big moments of life.  Linger and enjoy your coffee. Notice the trees on the way to work.  Enjoy your meal.  According to Dr. Rick Hansen we can change the brain by lingering with good moments for at least 15 seconds.

2.  Practicing gratitude for all the small and big things in our life.  Practice regularly.  Practice daily.  Upon rising, before meals, before bed, in the middle of the night.

3. Practice having gratitude for yourself.  Appreciating yourself and all your good qualities which you – and every other human being – has.  It’s not selfish.  It’s actually a way to honour yourself along with all the people who helped you become the person you are today.
