Description
Taking time for retreat offers us the opportunity to step out of our daily routines to reconnect with and care for our innermost selves.
Whether you are curious about silence for the first time or you have a regular practice, this is an opportunity to turn inward and discover the quiet that lives beneath the busyness of daily life.
This half day retreat will be held on the beautiful grounds of Bethlehem Centre on Westwood Lake in Nanaimo, B.C. Together we will meet in the View Room at 8:30 am and settle into our circle and ourselves. You will be guided through self-compassion meditations and practices that can help you to reconnect with your breath, your body and your innate self-compassion. No experience is necessary. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Stopping, settling, noticing, reflecting, accepting is enough. More than enough. Most of us operate in forward momentum continually. This is an opportunity to let go, lean back and catch yourself in your own innate kindness and compassion.
All adults are welcome.
Time: 8:30 am to 12 noon.
Please bring a journal/notebook for reflection, a yoga mat and a light throw.
