Description
What would happen if you were able to care for yourself when you felt shame, rather than being immobilized by fear, attacking yourself, or zoning out?
How would your life be different if you could meet difficult emotions with compassion and stay connected, think in a balanced way, and make wise, healthy choices?
We invite you – and all parts of you – to join us for weekend retreat, designed to explore self-compassion practices that can change our experience and relationship to ourselves.
Self-compassion is an emotional skill that can be learned by everyone.
It i s all about treating ourselves with the same kindness and understanding as we would treat a good friend. Burgeoning research shows that self-compassion greatly enhances emotional well-being, reduces anxiety and depression, and promotes healthy lifestyle habits.
Mindful Self-Compassion: Core Skills for Anxiety, Stress & Burnout
We are excited to be offering this new program with a focus on using self-compassion practices to be with shame. We have been teaching Mindful Self-Compassion for over 10 years and this winter we immersed ourselves in the newest program developed by Dr. Chris Germer and top staff of The Centre for Mindful Self-Compassion – Self-Compassion for Shame. We are excited to offer this to our community this fall.
